Rackside Terms of Use

By using Rackside you agree to these terms.

Check only what you may check

Add to cloud monitoring only servers you own or have permission to check. Do not use Rackside to scan, load or attack anyone. Checks come from our servers as RacksideBot. We refuse private and internal addresses and limit how often and how much any host is checked.

We may block a host, pause monitors or close access for anyone who breaks these terms or harms others.

What the service does

Cloud checks run every minute on Pro and every 5 minutes on Free. SSH metrics and checks of your own network run only while the app is open. We work to keep checks and alerts reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every outage is noticed or every alert delivered. Do not rely on Rackside as the only alerting for critical systems.

Purchases

Rackside Pro is a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription through the App Store, charged to your Apple ID. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can restore purchases in Settings. The app is also covered by Apple's Standard License Agreement.

No warranty

Rackside is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages from using the service or from missed or late alerts.

Complaints

If our checks reach a server they should not, write to danil@danchetin.com with the address and the time, and we will block it.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes too.
